Review: Temple Run

Temple Run is a great new game that is on the rise in the app store. The game is simplistic, with the aim of the game to get as far away from the evil vulture-like creatures chasing you as possible. As in many games, your speed is not controlled and gradually increases the farther you run. If you trip on a jump or a root, you stumble and the vulture creatures are immediately behind you. One of the great things about this game is the ease of use. There are really clear graphics, and the user interface is great. The tutorial is self-explanatory, and you can go back to it at any time by toggling on “tutorial” from the options menu. When you get enough coins, you can unlock characters, buy bigger boosts and long lasting magnets, and overall improve your scores. The gamecenter integration is okay, however what this game is really lacking is multiplayer. A multiplayer option would really make this game shine, and set it apart from all of the other running games in the app store.

Temple Run is available for free in the App Store.
